I love hitting antique fairs and flea markets for saucy finds and profiled a few good vendors from recent events on Pie today. I love these original linocut block print pillows by art goodies. I am giving away some too, very easy to enter. More info here...

I just found about this amazing story and the remarkable find that has brought an obsure photograher into the limelight. I thought many in this community might find the story as fasinating as I did. Full details posted on Pie today along with an excellent video piece on her work and the story behind it all.

Ditmar Urbach?

Dec. 2nd, 2010 | 12:22 pm

I haven't posted a message in a group before (any group), so be kind if I do things wrong (and sorry in advance).

I like flea markets, and my recent find is a bit of an enigma. I dont know anything about it. I bought it for ten euro's on a flea market in Belgium (where I live).

It looks 30's to me, and after surfing on the internet, I am starting to think it looks a lot like Ditmar Urbach pottery. Except there is no mark or stamp on the bottom. There is a number, what looks like an M (or w or 3), and what looks like a little v.

My questions, is it Ditmar Urbach? Are there any reasons why there is no stamp? Any idea on time? Any idea on value? And last but not least, could it be a fake (I only paid ten euros, which would be great if it is Ditmar Urbach, but in the "too good to be true"-section, I am always worried when I buy cheap things).

Hello! My mother and I have been looking for additional pieces to this beverage set for a while now. Does anyone have any information on the maker? I am assuming the name of the pattern is "Wildrose", but multiple Google searches have yielded nothing. There are no other markings. Any information would be very helpful!
